2006 NPS Environmental Achievement Award Recognizes Two Concessioners for Outstanding Environmental Successes
Two concessioners have been recognized for their environmental programs by the 2006 National Park Service (NPS) Environmental Achievement Award committee.

Xanterra Parks & Resorts, which provides lodging, food, and retail services at Zion Lodge in Zion National Park, was selected as a Winner of a 2006 NPS Environmental Achievement Award in the “Partner” category. The NPS Environmental Achievement Award Partner category provides a mechanism for recognizing concessioner environmental programs and highlighting those concessioners that have demonstrated a commitment to environmental management and stewardship during the previous fiscal year. In addition, Doyon/ARAMARK Denali National Park Joint Venture, a concessioner at Denali National Park providing primarily transportation services within the Park, received an Honorable Mention in the 2006 NPS Environmental Achievement Award “Partner” category.
